Thank you for purchasing a German Shepherd puppy from Locherie Kennels. Please be advised that your deposit is non-refundable. These beautiful puppies are bred for soundness, intelligence, companionship, and sport.

Before going to their new homes, all of our puppies are de-wormed, checked by our veterinarian, and have received a set of vaccinations.

The puppy must be given proper shade and housing, be sufficiently fed and watered, and in no manner mistreated. The puppy must always receive proper nutrition, yearly veterinarian examinations, proper exercise and live in a healthy environment. The buyer must also agree to let the puppy spend some of its day in companionship with it's new owner, and provide a secure area in which puppy can play and exercise. If at any time, the Buyer can no longer provide such, the puppy will be returned to Seller.

Your puppy is sold with a guarantee as follows:

HEALTH GUARANTEE-THE PUPPY SHOULD BE CHECKED BY YOUR VETERINARIAN WITHIN 1 WEEK AFTER HIS ARRIVAL AT HIS/HER NEW HOME.  If the puppy does not pass the vet check, the purchase price of the puppy will be refunded upon return of the puppy, AKC registration, and a letter from the veterinarian describing the problem encountered.  This guarantee is no longer in effect after the puppy has been in his/her new home more than 1 week, as we have no control over his/her new environment.  If it is determined that the health of the puppy has been effected detrimentally by his/her new environment, this guarantee will be null and void.

HIP GUARANTEE -Your puppy is guaranteed to be free of hereditary hip dysplasia, providing the puppy has not been used for breeding (sired or whelped a litter). In the unlikely event that the puppy is diagnosed with hip dysplasia by the time he reaches three years of age, a credit will be issued for half the price of your next puppy.   The diagnosis must be made by X-Ray by the time the puppy is three years old.  WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO HAVE THE PUPPY EXAMINED BY OUR VETERINARIAN.  If you request a credit under this guarantee, and the examination of the alleged defect, by a licensed veterinarian of Seller’s choice determines that the defect is not genetic, but caused by trauma, stress, neglect, abuse or any NON-inherited factor, this guarantee is null and void, without effect and will not be honored.

To be covered by this "hip guarantee", the same person who originally bought the puppy from Locherie Kennels must own the puppy. If the puppy is sold or given away to another person, the hip guarantee will be null and void.   Environment plays an important part in the development of healthy hips.  If the puppy is allowed to become overweight or does not receive proper nutrition, the hip guarantee will be null and void.  The choice of food for the puppy must be approved by seller.  If the puppy is over three years of age before being x-rayed and diagnosed, the hip guarantee will be null and void.

I, the buyer, understand that this is a binding contract and by signing this PUPPY CONTRACT & BILL OF SALE that I am to abide by ALL of the conditions and terms. I have signed this agreement, showing that I understand and agree to ALL the agreements and terms. I also understand that by signing this contract,  I will lose all rights and ownership of the said puppy and its registration papers IF I choose not to abide by ALL of the aforementioned stated conditions.  If I violate this signed contract, the Breeder has the right to take the said puppy back into Seller’s possession.
