ACE
Fello von der Huelhin Haus
SchH3 IP3
"One who possessed beauty
without vanity, strength without insolence, courage without ferocity, and all
the virtues of man, without his vices. This praise would be unmeaning flattery
if inscribed over human ashes, is but a just tribute to the memory of my
dog." - Lord Byron
My second Lara son. What an
AWESOME dog Ace was.
I owned this wonderful dog since he was 8 weeks old in 1996. He has an
incredible amount of drive. He was always a so much fun to train. He has earned his
SchH3 many times and was the
2001 USA Mideast Regional Champion. He also earned the
IP3
title. I finally retired him at 8-1/2 years. He was always
pronounced in protection, and earned many V-rated (96-100) scores, including a
99 in 2004, shortly before I retired him. Thanks to
Mark
Scarberry, training Director of OG
Buckeye, for all the great training!
Like all my dogs, he has always lived in the house with me, although I do have a couple of kennels outside so they can spend time there when I'm not home. Ace was very friendly once he got to know you, but he was extremely protective when around strangers. He was excellent with children, and very tolerant of their mannerisms. He showed a lot of aggression in the sport of Schutzhund and if threatened. But he did not have any handler, food, or dog aggression. I have taken him many places; hotels, in crowds, woods, cities...you name it, he has probably been there. He was at ease anywhere he we went. My only regret is that I only bred him once. He became sterile after that. But, I am happy that I do own his son, Jax, and I'm carrying on Ace's genes through Jax..
